Assessee

Author: Sec. 2(7) of Income Tax Act, states that an Assessee is a person who is liable to pay tax or any other sum of money under the Income Tax Act. Assessee may be paying tax for his filing, or paying tax on behalf of other person, or may be receiving the tax refund.
